The Activity

A real girlie mini break of country walks great company, beautiful scenery, and delicious wholesome yet indulgent food.  We start on Saturday morning with a 9 mile brisk flat calorie burning walk over the beautiful Cotswolds landscape. Along the way we stop for lunch at the tranquil yet so stylish Dalesford Organic Farm were you can enjoy a healthy and hearty delicious meal. Don’t be surprised if you see Kate Moss or Alex James pop in for organic veg and wine- they are Dalesford regulars. We end the day with a stretch and a shower and then it is time dinner. 

After a breakfast on Sunday you will have an opportunity to do a 90 minute group outdoor session of power walking, light exercises and stretching. For those who prefer something less energetic in the morning the Sunday papers and a range of the latest girlie magazines and will be provided. For those staying on in the afternoon you can have a Sunday picnic or pub lunch depending on the weather.  Note only breakfast is included in the price to give your more options on what and when you want to eat.

The Accommodation

Our accommodation is simple and comfortable rather than luxurious.  Originally a 15th Century Coaching Inn the Crown and Cushion is now a proud 40 bedroom hotel right in the heart of the Cotswold's. In the past the Crown and Cushion was owned by the legendary drummer Keith Moon from 'The Who' and his legacy decadence lives on today.

Once inside you'll discover a little more to The Crown & Cushion. As well as boasting 40 en-suite bedrooms: A cosy Traditional Bar, Bistro Restaurant, Comfy Lounge, Alfresco Dining on our sunny floral Terrace, Health Club - Pool, Gym, Squash Court, wifi available in the hotel grounds. This is mildly dated character hotel than is well located and allows us to keep cost down.

Trains from Paddington Station depart at 8:21am Arrive at Kingham at 9:51. It is a 10 minute taxi ride to the hotel in Chipping Norton. There should be opportunities to share a cab if you post a message at meetup. Off peak train tickets are £31.50 return.
